Back to Blogging: The Return Nobody Asked For, But Here It Is Anyway

Well, well, well—look who’s back. It’s me, the blogger who swore to never again be shackled by the chains of a perfectionist mindset… only to dramatically disappear from the blogging world for checks notes a year. What have I been doing, you ask? Soul-searching? Deeply evaluating my relationship with oversharing online? Or maybe just binging shows I’ve already seen twice while debating if I should grow out my bangs (spoiler: I didn’t).

Truth is, I needed a break. A real, no-pressure, zero-obligation pause to figure out why I was so caught up in making everything just so—only to lose sight of why I loved sharing my thoughts in the first place. Somewhere along the way, the joy of hitting “publish” got tangled up with an obsession for page-perfect aesthetics and endlessly comparing my words to others’. Classic overachiever move, right?

But here’s the thing: the break worked. After dusting off the cobwebs (both literal and metaphorical—hello, neglected website!), I’m feeling ready to dive back into long-form content. This time, it’s different. Less perfectionism, more personality. Fewer overanalyzed drafts, more “hey, here’s what’s on my mind today.” The revamped site? A little teaser for what’s coming, but don’t worry, there’s more in store. Think of this as the appetizer before the main course.

So, what’s next? Oh, you’ll just have to stay tuned for the big reveal—because what’s a comeback without a little suspense? For now, let’s raise a glass (or a coffee mug) to embracing imperfection and getting back to what feels right. Here’s to the return of long-form content and all the inevitable oversharing that comes with it. Missed me?

A DEXA scan goes beyond the scale and breaks down A DEXA scan goes beyond the scale and breaks down body fat, lean muscle and bone density, which is helpful if you like knowing lots of info. It gives you a clear snapshot of where things are at, what’s working well and where there’s room to improve without the guesswork.

Everyone be nice in the comments. I’m feeling a little tender sharing this and I’m very much in my “learning about my health, not asking for opinions from non professionals” era.

Spent the afternoon with @cnibfoundation and @moll Spent the afternoon with @cnibfoundation and @mollyburkeofficial getting braille manicures at @thetenspot and honestly left with way more than cute nails.

Molly shared smart, very doable tips on making social media more inclusive and accessible across a range of disabilities and one thing she said really stuck with me. Being disabled is the only minority group that anyone can join at any time, without warning. A reminder that accessibility is not niche, it is necessary.

But for real, I just wanted to share some appreciation and real life examples of my gratitude for Canadian healthcare access and healthcare workers.
