Fresh-Picked Floral Beauty

I am someone who loves fresh florals in my home year-round for an added freshness. While it has us endlessly quoting Miranda Priestly, floral beauty not only adds a romantic scent to your routine but added benefits, like soothing and hydration. See below for some of my ultimate fresh-picked floral beauty items to take the petal to the metal.

Fresh Beauty. The newest mask from Fresh Beauty features passionflower and cornflower formulated to help calm and reduce redness, even if you have skin sensitivity. The Floral Recovery Redness Reducing Overnight Mask ($89) is so soothing and doesn’t feel too thick as an overnight mask. My skin has never looked better, a new fave for sure!

Innisfree. It’s no secret that Korean beauty and skincare is hyped up due to their powerful ingredients and affordable formulas. So what sets Innisfree apart from other K-beauty brands? For starters it’s the best selling skincare brand in Korea. Secondly, their ingredients are harvested from Jeju Island, known for its rich abundance. My fave product from them is the Dewy Glow Jam Cleanser with Jeju Cherry Blossom ($18) that is budget friendly and effective! Plus the gel like consistency keeps your skin clean without stripping leaving your skin looking glowy.

Kosas. Not all face powders are made alike and the Kosas Cloud Set ($45) is truly a wonder. Infused with Chinese peony, known for its pore minimizing properties the Kosas pressed powder is *chef’s kiss* pure perfection. Its the perfect setting powder that reduces shine but not your natural glow and leaves your skin still looking like skin.

Tata Harper. Are you using an essence in your routine? While it’s often mistaken for toner, essence soothes your skin and accelerating natural turnover. My current fave is the Tata Harper Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Floral Essence ($96) because it’s gentle, brightening and gives my skin a subtle natural glow.

Lancôme. When it comes to fragrance, the wrong floral perfume can leave you feeling stuffy and perhaps a bit more mature that ideal. One of my all time fave floral scents is the Idôle Eau de Parfum ($126) from Lancôme because it smells fresh and floral with a blend of jasmine and rose. The packaging is divine with a thin silhouette and rosy hue for an extra sweet touch to your vanity.

NIVEA. When it comes to body lotion, I am rarely one to splurge since I go through it so quickly, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want a high performing moisturizer head-to-toe. Enter the NIVEA Oil Infused Body Lotion ($12) – a budget-friendly option for those who love a luxe feel. My fave scent is the orchid and it is infused with argan oil to add a moisture kick without leaving a heavy feel.

Merit. I hate how much I love this lip oil because the last thing I need is more lip oils but I already want all the other shades. I have the Merit Shade Slick Tinted Lip Oil ($31) in Taupe and it’s the perfect neutral brown that is never tacky on the lips while rosehip oil creates a natural barrier. to keep your peckers lush.

Moroccanoil. Transform your shower into a floral oasis with the Moroccanoil Shower Gel ($23) a lather-rich gel in the iconic Moroccanoil scent of argan oil, spicy amber and sweet florals. It’s so rich in moisture and a bit on the thick side, so a little goes a long way. The shower gel comes in a luxe square bottle that adds some serious shower goals to your cleansing ritual.

Somerset Moss. We love a do-it-all wonder and the Somerset Moss Facial Balm ($40) does just that. It can be used as a moisturizer, heavily applied for lip balms or a cheek gloss and is ultra-calming and repairing. I have used this little wonder more than a few times to relieve a few waxes gone wrong to repair my skin in no time. It’s FULL of good-for-you botanicals including lavender, rose geranium and chamomile.

Heritage Store. Is there anything more classic than a good rosewater mist when it comes to beauty? Heritage Store’s Rose Water ($15) has a cult following with an impressive two- ingredient spray of Damask Rose Oil and water, this spray can refresh, hydrate and even set your makeup all while leaving a rosy scent.

I tend to travel solo but I’m never travelling lon I tend to travel solo but I’m never travelling lonely.

As someone who doesn’t have a default travel partner, I’ve learned that if I want to see the world, I can’t wait for seven adults to align calendars and budgets. So I book the trip.

Going to Peru with @intrepidtravel reminded me why I love small-group adventures. You get the independence of showing up on your own, without having to navigate everything alone. Local leader. Seamless logistics. Built-in community. And that extra layer of safety that, as a woman, I don’t take lightly.

Now Intrepid is expanding its Women’s Expeditions with new trips in Peru, Cambodia and Bhutan, all led by local female leaders and designed to support women-owned businesses and break down barriers in tourism.

Also: 77% of travellers on these departures join solo.

So if you’ve been waiting for the perfect plus one… consider this your sign.

Solo doesn’t mean lonely. It means you booked it.

I’m exhausted. I think if I was insecure about som I’m exhausted. I think if I was insecure about something and actively looked for solutions is one thing, being cold pitched an insecurity is another.
I don’t say this lightly, although I do say it oft I don’t say this lightly, although I do say it often: I am so endlessly grateful for this life I’ve been blessed with. Everything I get to experience is beyond my wildest dreams. Every event, PR package, dinner, trip is such a gift. I’ve met so many of my closest friends through this career and that’s easily the best part. I often say I could give it all up tomorrow and still have had experienced more than I ever dreamt of for myself. Like what do you mean, a person who doesn’t know how to ski has managed to find her way to Big White? I’ve also lived in Vancouver for over a decade without ever going to Kelowna because that’s the kind of life I had growing up. Never going anywhere, even if it was only 5 hours away. ❤️❤️❤️ lucky girl syndrome for real
