When Jiyubox reached out to me to see if I would be interested in trying out their box I was excited to try a new box that also aligns with how I try and shop when it comes to personal care. Jiyubox is an all natural personal care and wellness subscription box based right here in Vancouver! Focused on helping people make the transition to natural beauty they feature indie brands and small businesses to provide a seasonal subscription (plus all their products are cruelty free!)
Need another reason to check ’em out? Jiyubox is female owned and operated on top of being all natural and cruelty free.
The Products
I love a good facial spitz. Something about a light spray in the summer heat is so refreshing to me. This spray toner contains witch hazel to help balance PH levels in your skin plus it soothes irritation and inflammation – let me tell you, this spray was a life saver when I burnt myself to a crisp at the beach because of course I missed a spot on my back when it comes to sunscreen application.
EPIC BLEND Coconut Body Oil ($18.50 CAD retail)
Am I Gigi Hadid? Um, maybe not but am I glowy dewy goddess whenever I use this body oil. I love using it post shave to keep my legs extra soft and touchable and the smell is to die for. The coconut scent sweet enough to make me want to lick it up but light enough to not smell like a product created for a child.
ESSENTIAL ROSE LIFE Indulge Mood Oil ($33.67 CAD retail)
Intended to help you balance your emotions and promote self love, this little mood oil has found a permanent place in my day to day bag. The Rose & Cardamom scent is paired with ginger which just smells so sensual to me. It instantly invigorates and stimulates the senses while promoting clarity.
MIFA AND CO. Calendula Milk Mini ($4 CAD retail)
This product was probably one of my favourites. It was so luxe to soak in a milk bath and I love that the formula is in an unbleached cotton muslin bag. You can run it under water to create an oat milk bath soak or use the bag like a bar of soap all over your body (face included) as a mild scrub! I love this little mini – it’s an affordable small luxury that I think would be easy to gift as well.
HELLO SUNDAY Vitamin Facial Mask ($26 CAD retail)
Made with rose clay and papaya this mix-in mask was perfect for oily (read: sweaty) summer skin. The clay pulls out impurities while the papaya adds some richness back into the skin. This is a clay mask that dries down drastically and I found it was best to use pre-shower since the steam from the shower helped aid in removal. I did notice that my skin was instantly brighter and felt softer after use one use.

The Verdict
This subscription box was bomb dot com. It introduced me to five new brands I wasn’t familiar with prior to receiving my Jiyubox plus I love that their products are made with clean ingredients, all the products are different and can work for anyone (nothing is specifically for one skin type over another!)
It may be a bit pricier than other subscription boxes but it’s a great intro for consumers looking to transition to green beauty. I also like that their packaging is eco friendly and all of the products are full sized. It really showcases their commitment to the environment because with the exception of the milk mini bath soak, everything else was packaged without plastic and could be recycled.
Green beauty for the win!
